Presupposing that anyone would ever want to encourage people to compose
their messages in color.

But then I've always been a function over form kind of guy.


Given your personal preference for red text, I haphazardly note that color
blindness to red is the most common form of color blindness.  And color
blindness affects up to 8% of the male population (but, interestingly, only
1% of the female population).

So choosing red text actually somewhat reduces your potential audience.
