Palm� Desktop 2.6.3 for Macintosh
Palm� Desktop 2.6.3 for Macintosh for use on PowerPC processor-equipped Macintosh computers can be used to synchronize with any Palm OS® handheld. Changes from previous releases include:
* New HotSync® 2.6.3 software
* HotSync Manager supports Palm OS 4.0
* HotSync Manager supports installing files to an expansion card (e.g. SD, MultiMedia Card)
* Fix to Instant Palm Desktop
NOTE: If you use Palm Desktop 2.6.1, upgrade only if you want to synchronize with a handheld running Palm OS 4.0 (e.g. Palm m500, Palm m505) or to get the Instant Palm Desktop fix.
According to my list of running processes, I do have "Instant Palm Desktop" running (as a background, faceless 'appe'), although I wasn't aware of it. Nothing in the documentation says what the fix is, nor what was wrong, but maybe it's not a bad idea.
