When it comes out get eMessage Archiver, and save the messages in a FMP
database. I keep less that 1000 messages in my Erage folders and no
newsgroups (about 2 weeks worth, and some perennials). The archives need
backup too, but less frequently. I also run the AppleScript that backs up
Entourage files in father/grandfather directories; works great, and with the
smaller files (37.5 MB for the entire Microsoft User Data folder) takes
about 1 minute.
I've NEVER had any database corruption that I'm aware of. I ran a rebuild
several times to compact, but that is about it.
