QUERY: How do I purge newsgroups?

Howdy.

Yesterday I looked through my messages using Custom Views. The Unread
Messages view would be tremendously useful, except that it showed every
Usenet newsgroup message I'd downloaded (en masse) in the past few months.
How can I tell Entourage to ignore or discard these posts?
