No. Scripts can't control columns - they're not scriptable, nor are most
other "View" options. It's probably a little late or you to be finding this
out, but any new subfolders will inherit the columns of their parent folder.
This IS in the the Help.
So, when making new folders, you could make them as subfolders of a folder
(Inbox, or any other) which has the columns you want, then immediately move
the new folder up to the top bar of the Folder List, which will turn it into
a top-level folder, if that's what you want. (That's also in the Help.) It
will keep the columns it inherited as a subfolder.
This doesn't happen with existing subfolders, just new ones.
