Title: Re: Re setting from header field

You don't need to reset the From header. You're not scripting Lotus, after all. If you knew the email address of the real sender, you could reset the sender to the real sender. But what good would it do just to reset his display name, and not his email address? You can't reply by clicking reply: it will just go back to your work computer.

I apologise profusely if you replied and I didn’t see it. And I AM extremely greatful for all advice on this.  I have been checking my email with great regularity particularly on this topic, however....

A full set of headers that Entourage shows via a received email resent by Lotus Notes originally from an external sender is as follows:

I can’t see the original headers there.

Thank you for the script. It works!!! I am smiling at my email program again. Its wonderful to beat the Lotus Notes system and get back to using a program I want to use instead of one my office says I have to use.

The script is itself very helpful when I am scanning my emails as I get heaps and like many of us the display of who it is from is helpful in prioritizing.

Can we not use a valid email address in the extracted from field to set the reply to header? :)
