You probably do have Office Quickview, you just don't know it.
In your Control Strip, do you have a module called "Office Control Strip"?
Look in SystemDisk:System Folder:Control Strip Modules:Office Control Strip.
That is Office Quickview.
To turn off reminders, find the correct panel in your control strip (multi
colored four-piece jigsaw puzzle), click, and select "Turn Reminders Off".
