We're bringing some old mail over into Entourage (SR1) via MBOX format
files, and it appears that Entourage's import from MBOX feature has a glitch
where at least some message lines beginning "From " are interpreted as the
next mbox separator line, causing the message to split into two pieces (one
of which of course is bogus, and has no date/time/ etc info lines). I can
do a global grep search/replace in BBEdit to put a space or something in
from of the problem lines, but I was just wondering if anyone had run across
this and documented it. At first glance it seems that there might be
minimum or maximum line lengths of the "From " lines that Entourage doesn't
consider as separator candidates, but I really don't want to do a lot of
testing to find out.
I'm assuming that Entourage is not being as discriminating as possible when
it finds a line starting "From ". The same mbox file seems to be handled
properly by Eudora.
