On the cursor thing: In Entourage, that seems to affect only the right half
of the screen. Have you tried just moving the cursor over to the left side?
Might work.

Normal Template stores a lot of junk like keyboard assignments, macros, and
styles. Other stuff as well. So you probably did change something...
