That is a message from one of my Outlook Express scripts. (The Entourage
version of the script has a different name: see below.) That error message
is running because the script is trying to bring the "Outlook Express"
window to the front and can't - not unnaturally, because you may not even
have OE on your computer any more. (If you did, I think the script would be
opening it up and bringing it to the front.) What that means is that you
imported all your schedules from OE but didn't think to check to see if any
were running scripts. Probably the same with Rules. They are still set to
run the OE scripts in the "Script Menu Items" folder in the Microsoft User
Data folder in Documents (or even in the OE 5 folder).

In the case of this particular schedule and script, you will find that there
is a schedule you have made, set to run, probably, "At Startup" - at least,
that was the original recommendation, but you may have altered it. You can
just disable it (uncheck the Enabled box) for now (in Tools --> Schedules),
or even delete the schedule if you don't want something similar any more. If
you've forgotten, the purpose of that script was to open OE to a different
folder than the standard [local] Inbox upon opening. Chances are you set it
to open to your IMAP INBOX instead. If you'd like to do the same thing in
Entourage, you can get

    Folder/Custom View to Open

at

AppleScript Central
<http://www.applescriptcentral.com/>

That script will do the same thing for Entourage. You would put the new
script in the ENTOURAGE Script Menu Items folder in the MUD folder, go to
Tools--> Schedules -->your Schedule, press the Script... Button in the
Action area, and navigate to the correct script.

You should check over all your schedules and rules - every one. If any of
them run scripts, chances are that the Entourage version of the same script,
with the same name in most cases, can be found at the ASC website. In any
case, the relevant schedule or rule should be disengaged from the OE script.

As you can see, even though a script has to be in the Entourage Script Menu
Items folder to be seen in the script menu in Entourage, it will still run
from a schedule or rule no matter where it is on your computer. There is no
real need to trash the [OE] "Script Menu Items" folder if you still have OE
around "in case of emergency", although you can do so if you want to. But
just make sure that you have no other Entourage schedules or rules running
OE scripts!
