If you use the standard Datebook on the Palm, not much difference. Add-ons
such as Action Names and Datebk4 (both of which I recommend, the former more
if you work with a lot of contacts, the latter if ToDos and appointments are
more your concern) will give you scheduling abilities that Entourage does
not have, but for the most part, things will sync. You may see appointments
doubling up sometimes because of the way the add-on software works (e.g.,
sometimes it will add some codes as a note to a contact or appointment;
Entourage's conduit will see this as a new record rather than a modified one
and will duplicate it).

I understand this a bit differently. I agree that you would do well to
always create categories that you want to sync in the Palm, but you can
create them in Entourage first if you like; you just have to be sure to
create the identical category in the Palm <before> you sync, or the items
will end up in the "Unfiled" category. Likewise, you can have as many
categories as you want in Entourage, but any more than the 15 that match
those in the Palm will come across as Unfiled.

Absolutely.

I transferred data into Entourage from Palm Desktop without a hitch, other
than ending up with some contacts in Unfiled because I didn't duplicate the
categories first on my Visor.
Be aware that Entourage does <not> sync Mail.
