this is old but thought I'd comment on it anyway...
I think if you set up another account which contains the proper settings for
work and keep the original with the proper config for home, you should be
able to switch easily between the two when your Internet CP settings change.
In my (similar) situation, I set up my PB this way: with my home Internet CP
settings active, I made my home account (SMTP, POP, etc) in E'rage the
default and activated any schedules I wanted. Then I enabled my work
Internet CP settings, made the work account the default and enabled
different schedules.
Now, when I change locations from work to home or vice versa (Location
Manager is awesome!), my default account and enabled schedules change as
well and I'm ready to go.
(If someone else has already suggested this, my apologies in advance for
