Okay, thanks, that did the trick.  I knew that command worked with open messages, just like Emailer, but I hadn’t thought to try it without a message open; and yes, I know you meant cmd-option-].
 
Now, where can I find a collection of clever applecsripts like I had before, and I’ll be set.  (of course, many of the applescripted features from before are now part of Entourage, like mark unread, etc., which is greatly appreceated.)
