Slow Searching in entourage ..

Searching for things in entourage seems to take about 10 times longer than
searching for things with Eudora pro. it seems as though entourage uses some
kind of slower " disk based " system.

Going through 5000 records or more can take 30 seconds or more....

Does anybody agree with me?

Is there any way to speed up searches in entourage?
