It's generally a little funky with folders in general. For instance,
when I
start up, it doesn't show any of the folders in the left navbar. I have
to
select the account, which shows the list of folders, then double-click
the
ones I want to install them in the left nav-bar. I'd like some way for
them
to just show up by default without having to do that.

To create a folder, I have to select the INBOX and use New->Subfolder.
When
I do, the left navbar incorrectly shows a second INBOX, and I have to
exit
Entourage and restart it to get things to display things properly, and
that
makes me have to go through the previous paragraph. If you're trying to
use
folders, this can be a real hassle really quickly..

While New->Folder is enabled, if you try to use it, you get errors.

<The Courier server is one of the types that force you to use INBOX as
your 'root' folder. You can set that up in Edit Account->Options; enter
'inbox' in the 'Root folder:' field. After that you can use New->Folder
and a folder will be created within the Inbox, with no errors.
That method is a characteristic of Courier server, as well as Cyrus and
U of W servers.
The error you were talking about when using New->Folder was the server
disallowing you to make a folder adjacent to the Inbox; you only have
write privs for inside the Inbox. -dave>
