Sorry for the mundane question, but I have what I'm sure will be a simple
request/solution.

I've just made the switch from Claris Emailer to Entourage.

(I've been a big fan of jud spencer--his kindness and patience to the folks
on the emailer list after it EOLed is one example, However, even his
programming expertise couldn't compel me to make the switch to Outlook. I've
made the jump now to Entourage for a number of reasons and am happy to see
he's still a major player.)

To the problem:

I can get mail from my mac.com addresses when I go back to emailer, but I
can't get my mac.com mail while in Entourage. That leads me to believe I
have entered the information incorrectly in the Entourage account setup.

I'm not able to correctly configure my mac.com account information.

In Emailer, the info is entered thusly:

Account name: BDMac
User name: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Email account: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Email password: *****
SMTP server: mail.earthlink.net
Email address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Where xxx is the same for all three lines.

In Entourage, the info requested is slightly different enough to throw me:

Account name: BDMac
Personal Information
Name: Barry B. Doyle
Email address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Receiving mail
Account ID: barrydoyle
POP Server: mail.earthlink.net
Save password: *****

Sending mail
SMTP server: mail.earthlink.net

I'm sure most will see the glaring error I've committed, but I can't. It
must have something to do with the POP server ID which isn't clearly
identified as such in the Emailer account setup.

I have six different mac.com accounts for different family members. As I've
said, it will collect the email in Emailer, but not in Entourage the way I
currently have it configured.
