Apparently some other folks are having stability issues with Office v.X.

Some seem to involve font management problems, others involve the project
gallery.

Here is a reply from M$ as posted on Macintouch

Although this message is ostensibly about problems launching Office v.X,
others have reported applications unexpectedly quitting, which behavior was
cleared up after removing duplicate or corrupt fonts.
