When Entourage X is the frontmost application, my CPU activity is pegged at 100% (I'm using LoadInDock to graph CPU use) but if I switch Entourage to the background, CPU activity goes down to 20-30%. I don't see any related slow-down in either Entourage or other apps, but I don't usually do a lot of background processing, other than occasionally keeping iTunes playing. Even with iTunes in the foreground, CPU never goes above 65%, but as soon as I switch to Entourage, bang - 100%.
Any ideas?
