Geoff,

In every script folder (you can get another one at AppleScript central if
you trashed the original) should be some sort of ReadMe with the author's
name and email address. Or else if you open up the script in Script Editor,
you should find it at the top (or bottom) of the script. The correct thing
is to write the author of the script if you have a problem with it.
Sometimes you might be doing something wrong. But if you have hit upon a bug
in the script, the author will want to work on it with you to track it
down,. When he or she fixes it, he or she will post an updated version and
usually announce it here.

The scripts are written by actual people, not by the world at large, nor by
the Entourage developers. It's both nicer and more effective to work with
the script author at fixing it than to expose the bugs in this public forum.
Usually nobody but the script author can fix it for you anyway - what would
anyone else be able to do? As a fairly prolific script author, that's how I
feel about it, and that's why I always put my name and email address in the
ReadMes and the scripts. (They're at the bottom of the ReadMes and the top
of the scripts.) In this case, its not my script (for once!) so I can say
so. ;-)

Don't feel hesitant about writing the author. That's why he (hopefully)
included his name and address. If not, then by all means write here, and ask
if anyone knows who the author is. If you got the script at AppleScript
Central, you'll see that every script available there has the author's name
and a link to his email address. Just search on the script name, then click
the Email link. Here's ASC's URL:
