This isn't an Entourage question, sorry -- but it affects Entourage. I'm hoping some network guru can point me to a solution to a minor problem.
Background: I have DSL service, also a Linksys router. I like the router because it keeps my connection alive and provides a firewall. My DSL service provider is Earthlink/Mindspring. Whenever I check any of my email accounts *except* my university account (which is my main account), everything is just fine. Same for web access. When I check my university account (either with Entourage or Mail.app), the access is slow. It takes from 30-45 seconds for anything to happen at all (once it makes contact, getting and sending mail is as fast as expected). It seems like it can't find my university server. However, if I remove the router, and use PPoE (I'm running OS X), this problem with the university server goes away: all access is speedy.
