N/A Thanks for the info, Paul. I did find the slim references you mentioned, and all of those things were okay with me. I didn't see anything that said I would loose category settings. It's all okay. I needed the Advanced Rebuild as the standard didn't solve the problem. I never had to do it in E2001 before, although I did several times with Outlook Express 5.02. I've now accepted that I'll spend a snowed-in day tomorrow setting up my Custom Views again, and this have at least given the opportunity to re-think my use of Categories, since I've never been happy with the Palm <--> E2001 category synching anyway (which still is terrible.)
