Gary, I am copying this to the Entourage list, since I don't have a
definitive answer for you.

First of all, it is essential to know which versions of the Mac OS and of
Entourage you are using.

Without knowing that all I can say is that the issue has come up before,
without a clear solution. The problem is dialing telephone numbers. On OS X,
particularly, reliable tools for doing that have not yet appeared. Even on
OS 9, where I attempted this, I had problems such as intermittent failure to
dial, crashing of the helper application that I was using to do the
dialing--a piece of shareware that was scriptable--and so on. I gave up the
effort; for me, it was easier just to dial manually! Several people have
made requests to the Mac Business Unit to add dialing of phone numbers to
Entourage; one would hope that if it is added for contact phone numbers, it
could be accessed by script to dial other numbers as well.
