Just prior to the release of ER X, I brought up an issue on this list with regard to the mailing list manager function of ER and the fact that at times it created a mailing list manager rule with my email address listed as the list address. While the majority of discussion lists are configured to list the list's address in the TO header, the problem above occurred when a discussion list was configured to list my own email address in the TO header. While this is an infrequent occurrence, I feel it is a serious one. Some of us have multiple email addresses/accounts and manage hundreds of messages per day. There are some times when I have set up a mailing list manager rule quickly and missed the fact that it had listed my own email address as the list address. Three days later I find that that was where my email from that account was being funneled to. <G> I laugh about it, but the reality is that if you're dealing with critical email, this is a big issue. I'm wondering if it might be warranted to include an alert window on the next upgrade of ER X that checks the List Address field against the user's listed pop accounts. If there is a match, an alert would pop up warning the user that if they set this manager, email from one of their accounts may be directed out of their Inbox and into this folder, and that they may wish to set this up as a RULE rather than a Mailing List Manager...? -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
