I know that the developers hang out on this list. I'm wading through David
Pogue's "Mac OS X: The Missing Manual", in which I read a tip about forcing
a document to open with a specific application nestled in the Dock (use the
"Command-Option" keystroke when dragging the icon to the preferred
application's dock icon.

I receive rtf documents as attachments from a company with which I work.
When I double-click the attachment icon, the attachments open in Preview,
which doesn't display much of the document's tabular formatting. I can't
drag the attachments directly to Word's icon in the dock (I can, from the
Finder, if I drag the attachment's icon to the desktop first).

Something like this would be a nice addition to Entourage's file-handling
capabilities.
