After months of working just fine, it now takes about 20 seconds to open my address book in a new window in Entourage X. It used to happen instantaneously. Other windows, such as the calendar or notes, seem to open at a normal speed... more or less instantaneously.
I did both a standard and advanced rebuild. And ran ran Norton Disk Doctor on my drives. Did make any difference Not sure if this is the culprit, but this problem was not occurring prior to my update from OS 10.1.2 to 10.1.3. As they have been all along, the Entourage database files are located on an external fire wire drive. An alias in my OS X user directory points to them. That hasn't changed. Any thoughts on what the cause could be?
