I'll take a shot, but I don't have a definitive answer. On or near 3/2/02 4:35 PM, Rod D. Martin at [EMAIL PROTECTED] observed:

I do not understand this first part. Are you talking about an incoming mail rule? If so, then I presume there are three separate rules, one each for IMAP, POP and Hotmail. Correct? If that is the case, then the error you report below must be caused by just one of those three rules. Which one?? >> >> I set it for "if any criteria are met." >> >> Criteria are 1) if it is Junkmail; 2) if it is category Junk Those are really the same thing; only the first criterion is really necessary. >> >> Action is Move mail to Junkmail folder. >> >> When I receive a junkmail, here's what happens: >> >> 1) it goes to Inbox >> 2) it gets categorized as Junk >> 3) I get the following error message: >> >> Error: The message(s) could not be copied. >> Explanation: HTTP error. Access method not allowed. >> Error: 1405 >> >> Bad stuff. > The "HTTP" part is puzzling; it implies something to do with HTML. Is it perhaps a junk message that contains HTML, and that HTML code is attempting to access something on line in an invalid way? Perhaps you should check the preference in Mail & News Preferences, Read pane, under HTML. Try changing those around and see what happens. -- My web page: <http://home.earthlink.net/~allenwatson/> My scripts page: <http:homepage.mac.com/allenwatson> Microsoft MVP for Mac Entourage/Word--<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
