Somewhat quicker would be to make a custom of only Calendar Events, match
<if ANY criteria are met>
Category is None
Category is not None
That will show you all events in a list. Sort by Date (the default). If you
have turned off confirmation of deletion in the Prefs, you can just skip
through, pressing Delete key on each event to delete. If your confirmation
dialogs are still on, instead hold down command key and click the mouse on
each event to delete: that will select them all. Every once in a while,
press delete key to delete them all at once, click Delete in confirmation
dialog.
