Thanks to Steve, Paul and Barry for their special help, I was able to fix
the problem. Special thanks to Steve who spent much time helping even after
I had given up. In case this happens to anyone else, here is what to do.
Check all drives (in my case I run 3 different operating systems, 9.1, 9.2.1
and OS X) for other Microsoft User Data Folder in Documents folder. If
there is a User Data Folder on a drive that you don't have Office 2001 (or
other version) installed on, Delete the extra folder off that drive after
first saving your Entourage Date and putting it in the User Data Folder on
the drive you are using for Entourage. This then allows you to move between
identities so you can use both your old and new data for Entourage.
If I had simply found the problem when I first reinstalled Entourage in
the new zeroed out partition, I could have just continued on with my old
user data and would not have been nearly a week fixing it.
Anytime you have two "Main Identities" on two different partitions,
Entourage seems to pick the newest one to use continuously without letting
you "switch identities" until you simply delete the one on the drive that
does not contain Entourage. In other words, you want only one Microsoft User
Data Folder on your computer that contains the Entourage Data.
Hope this helps someone else in the future. Feel free to email me
directly if anyone has a similar problem. This talk list was a life saver.
Again thanks to all for your patience and help!
