I have seen then when the Exchange mailbox has a corrupt message in it. You may be able to get it using Outlook on the PC which uses Mapi but it sounds like Exchange is having a problem translating a specific message in the mailbox from its stored Mapi format to RFC822 which is needed for IMAP. You can find the offending message and move it out of the Inbox folder using Mapi client or you may want to contact your admin to see if he can rebuild your mailbox.
