Because of the "Stop Capitalizing iBook" thread, I've been spending more time trying to get AutoCorrect to do what I want it to do in both Word and Entourage 2001. Here's what I've found:
I tried a workaround to try to get iBook to not capitalize at the beginning of a sentence in Word by going to Exceptions>Other Corrections, typing in iBook and clicking Add. The iBook that I typed changes to ibook in the lower pane (and still capitalizes at the beginning of a sentence). A bug or is this Exception only for spelling? Next: Using Exceptions>First letter>"Don't capitalize after", I was absolutely delighted to find that I could tell Word not to capitalize after three dots ... Which, as you see, unfortunately did not carry over to Entourage. If it works in Word, it should work in Entourage. (I know that technically you're not supposed to put spaces before and after "..." but that's not the point.) Another bug? Finally, while Entourage will capitalize after a period. Or after a question mark? It will not capitalize after an exclamation point! not logical, right? Word, meanwhile, has no problem with this.
