Well, the glass is half empty or half full. No where did MS alert anyone that a conduit was available! Let's put a few things in perspective: Apple has 5% of the computer market and probably less than 1% of the corporate computer market. Microsoft employs ~40,000 people and has something less than 200 people on the MacBU team. Add to this that Mac OS X is a radically different operating system than anything Apple has released before. Good or bad, this is the financial reality for any software company. OS X would already be dead if it were not for the promises of Adobe and the release of Office X. Nothing will change unless more people use macs. How can any software company justify spending large amounts of money and resources developing software for <5% of the market. Frankly, I consider myself lucky that I have the array of software available to me today. If we want to improve the situation, we need to be convincing more people that the MAC is a useful alternative to a Windows-PC. Instead of griping about what we don't have, let's sing the praises of what we do! Just my $0.02. I used to spend a lot of energy being angry with software companies who didn't provide the same features for PC's and Mac's. What a waste of time that was. Let's be realistic here. I worship the MacBU team for doing what they do for us with so little resources and backing from Big Bill.
