It has noting to do with using a backup copy. It's a problem with the copy
itself.

Backups do get corrupted and you usually don't find out about it until you
try to use it.  I just had a similar problem with many of my Quicken backups
that were corrupt. Luckily I was able to find one that wasn't too old that
was good. That's why you need to keep multiple backups. Check to see if they
are good by running a rebuild on them so you will know you have no
corruption.

Normally, I don't recommend rebuild unless you are experiencing problems but
for verifying backup integrity it might not be such a bad thing.

Hope you find the folder in the Deleted Item folder.
