It is perfectly legal to line-break any header I a rfc822 message, but the
broken line MUST start with a whitespace character. That is what is missing
in this case. This is why the message errors - the to line is effectively
truncated. This is a bug - hopefully one that MS are aware of.

The angle bracket issue applies to urls inside the message body, and is a
convention rather than rfc dictated.
