Attachment received from PC sendern turn garbage?

Title: Attachment received from PC sendern turn garbage?

I have the problem of some PC user who sent attachment (eg. Excel file) that did not appear as attachment but in the email content as garbage. I suspect that he email the message with Rich Text Format(RTF). What should I do? Is there any other Mac email program that can receive RTF format with no problem? That will be my last resort... I still like Ent.X the best!
