I have seen this behaviour once before, with mail sent from a client that
did not format the date in the correct manner according to the RFC. If you
post the headers to one of the messages here, I can tell you if it's the
same problem.

IIRC, the incorrect format was dd/mm/yy instead of the correct 'long' format
like "Date: Mon, 24 Jun 2002 10:45:08 -0400" taken from your message.
