Nothing in Tools -> Rules will be considered. This is advantageous for just such a thing. That way the mailing lists you are on won't get 100 of those very annoying, "I'm out of the office. I'll reply when I get back" messages which are only fine for the folks who will write directly to you but not cool when folks not on vacation get 100 of them on a list.
