I've been using PocketMac for a couple months now and beta tested PocketMac
Pro through three versions. Just got the final release and used it once to
sync my calendar and tasks to the iPAQ. I'm not associated with the company
in any way.

Mini Review:

Syncing to E'rage works quite well. Syncing seems to be slower than using
ActiveSync on my PC. So far I've not seen the doubling of tasks, contacts,
or events that sometimes happened with the Palm. I did discover one problem.
Contacts are synced first, then the calendar, then tasks. Each is done by a
different plug-in. If there is a large number of items in one group it might
keep the plug-in from the next group from launching properly. In beta 4 I
couldn't sync my calendar unless I turned off the plug-in for contacts.
Since I pruned my contact list I don't know if this bug was fixed or if I'm
now below the critical number for bringing out the bug.

Moving documents between the iPAQ and Mac can be done by drag and drop and
works well. Word and Excel files are translated to be readable by the Pocket
apps and vice versa. However, in beta 4 I discovered that some documents
that were synced to my iBook and later moved back to my iPAQ were
unreadable. I was able to solve this problem by opening each file in Word
and resaving as .doc files then dragging them back to the iPAQ. I discussed
this with tech support and they acknowledged the problem. I don't know if it
has been solved or not. Right now I'm checking a few docs after each sync.

This program won't completely allow us to divorce our PPC from a Windows
computer. Most PocketPC applications are delivered as Windows executable
installation applications. PocketMac comes with a program to extract the
PocketPC program from these executable. It has never worked for me. Also,
two of my favorite PocketPC applications have Windows counterparts.

This is a version 1 program and it is less polished than we Mac users might
expect. It isn't inexpensive and its license limits installation to one
computer which is just plain stupid given the nature of the product. (I have
a home desktop, two work desktops, and my iBook. I want all of them synced
to my iPAQ and I am NOT going to buy 4 licenses. I suspect that most iPAQ
users will want to sync to two computers if not the 4 that I have.) Finally,
the company has no demo and you cannot buy the program without acknowledging
that you are buying a product that cannot be returned for any reason.

Despite its flaws it is worth every penny to me. YMMV
