I am trying to import my email data into Entourage X from Entourage 2001 on a TiBook running OS 10.1.5.
I try to use the import “assistant” but it hangs up on screen 4 when it asks me to select my identity folder. I navigate to the Microsoft User Data folder in my OS9 documents folder and try to select the main identity folder, but it cannot import data and just stops. What am I doing wrong?
One thing to try: General advice is to rebuild your Entourage 2001 database before trying the import (quit, hold down option key while launching again). Minor imperfections in the database that don’t have much effect in E2001 can block the import process. This <may> solve your problem, and it may not. It’s an essential precaution in any case.
