Hi Thomas, You can't remove the folder icon without deleting the account. If you're willing to do that, go to Tools>Accounts>News>MS News Server>Delete. Let me suggest however, that you make a note of all the server settings before deleting so that if you decide you want the account back, you can easily duplicate them. Let me also suggest that you explore some of the Mac (and other) newsgroups available via the MS News Server before you delete the account. They're a great resource. Click on the server icon and search on microsoft.public.mac to view the list if you're not already familiar with these groups.
