Worked like a charm :-). And without any obvious problems. I did observe a couple of issues:
1. I took the approach of having E'rage over-write the handheld address book, so I don't know whether later sync's may cause problems. In doing the over-write, I did notice one option I'd like to have for the address book sync'ing: I have many contacts in E'rage for whom I have only email information. I don't really want those on the handheld (Of course as soon as I say this I'll decide I really need a handheld that can do email :-)). It would be nice to have an option not to write email only contacts from E'rage to the handheld. 2. I sync'd everything else, because I had entered some appointments and such into the handheld and wanted to get them to E'rage. By & large, this worked fine. I seem to have the same calendar event and to do's both places. However, as was the case before, multi-day calendar events are very badly handled on the handheld. Far as I could tell, all you get is a notation on the first day of the event, and that doesn't even show up in month view. I realize this is a Palm problem, just wish there was something that could be done about it. I tend to view my calendar in month view and it's frustrating that I won't have any indication that I've scheduled a 5 day trip for some particular time. As I recall from last year, there are not good work arounds for this - you either don't get the event on the handheld, or you have to enter it as several one-day events in Entourage, which makes the calendar messy (particularly if you have some other events on the same days - then it bounces around vertically). Does anyone know of a better solution for this or are we stuck with no way to deal with multi-day events? Not surprisingly, events that weren't identical, even though I viewed them as the same, were duplicated. I checked and both times this happened, I had put different ending times into them. One also had a category on E'rage but not on the Palm; I dont know if that would have caused it to duplicate even with the identical start and end times. I chose not to sync events occurring on dates earlier than 5 weeks before synchronization. Probably if I'd thought about it I should have realized that was a one way switch - all the handheld events came over to E'rage, even though they were older. Not a problem except for the large number of "overdue" reminders that started popping up, but something to be aware of.
