You understand wrong. The conduit syncs categories for all data types in the Palm OS which support categories. The Palm OS supports precisely one category each for Addresses, ToDos and Memos, and the conduit sync them just fine with the primary category in Entourage for Contacts, Tasks and Notes respectively.
