I work in an office with six Macs running Entourage X. Our e-mail is handled by a remote Exchange server, and our accounts are all IMAP.
Our service has been spotty since we made the switch in January, the main problem being that the inbox will go through periods where it won't update automatically, requiring a Command-L to retrieve new mail. That symptom comes and goes for no apparent reason, and reliability varies from one workstation to another. We also have periodic problems with deleted mail showing up as new again, but again with no consistency; it'll do it one day but not the next. We've experimented with different settings, schedules, etc., but to no avail. This week, both problems have arisen on all our computers, which says to me that maybe it's a configuration issue on the Exchange servers. Our IT folks don't do Macs, so I don't even know in what direction to point them. Any suggestions? Tommy Luckadoo District Director U.S. Rep.
