As, presumably, "SyncML" is an abbrevionym for "Synchronisation Markup
Language", this bit of information tells us nothing about the availability
of the API or System service/framework for this. It merely suggests one
tiny bit of implementation detail.
That said, it'd be bloody stupid of Apple to create tech for syncing
different sources -- including the now "open access" Address Book -- and
not let third parties into the playground.
Some of which "third parties", BTW, should probably keep in mind that
Apple's new gizmo's are great for the beret crowd, but probably means zilch
to the business crowd. You know, those guys that need Word processors,
spreadsheets, meeting planning, presentations, (Exchange integration; hint
hint!), and such...
It might eat a chunk of the pie from some segments, but I very much doubt
those chunks will amount to overly significant numbers.

Of course we are the good guys! We define what is good and evil. All other
definitions are wrong, and possibly the product of a deranged imagination.
