I think I understand Steve's point, that - "on the palm, there's no such
thing as a "multi-day event," so a single event in Entourage would need to
be expanded to multiple events on the palm". However, how does Palm Desktop
manage to get around this? I sync between my Vx and Palm Desktop all the
time and my multi-day banners on the Desktop stay as multi-day.

That they show as single day banners on my Palm is a complete irrelevance.
In month view I'm only seeing a tiny dotted line on my Palm and, until I
click it, I don't know what it represents! In other words, what my Palm
gives me is fine because, with such a small screen, I have no expectation of
seeing true multi-day banners. (The dotted line is fine). Whereas on my
desktop screen, the true value of multi-day banners comes into thier own -
and currently only Palm desktop can give me this.

Whatever Palm desktop does to fudge the syncing yet retain its multi-day
banners - can Entourage please do the same! Forget what it turns into on the
Palm, it's a red herring.

Proper multi-day banners are essential - a real godsend to Calender Event
clarity. Until Entourage can provide what palm desktop gives me, I can see
no reason to change.
