They are commenting rather specifically about Office 11 in the article. Since they (Microsoft) have made a public announcement about Office for Windows, it should not be a problem to make a similar comment about Office for Macintosh – though perhaps this is not the best forum for such an announcement.
Well, it is a problem to make a similar comment if they are not ready to do so. A good guess is that when we hear the announcement they are ready to make it.
(Sort of like the way one tells a true prophet from a false one. If the prophecy does not come true, then he was a false prophet. Thanks Moses! Real helpful that one... Deut. 18.22, for those keeping score at home.)
