What in God's name does it have to do with the MBU??? Apple has made the
user Documents folder the Docs folder for people in Classic, which makes
sense. No one really needs to boot back and forth much any more, or so apple
thinks, so they've made things easier for people in OS X who use Classic. It
makes good sense - it protects documents made in Classic as it does those
made in native OS X.

It just so happens that it messes things up for people who use Entourage
2001 in both Classic and OS 9, plus freaks like me who keep 2001 around for
testing scripts. I'm sure Apple didn't consult MS when they made their
decision. There's no good reason for normal people to use both Entourage
2001 and X in OS 10.2 - just switch to X. I'm prepared to take my lumps
since I'm doing weird things. It still works just fine if i confine my 2001
usage to when I boot in OS 9. That's fine with me - I don't need it in
Classic, since I have X.

The issue only arises for people in 10.2 who still haven't upgraded to
Office X and are using Entourage 2001 in Classic plus _sometimes_ in 9. OK,
so upgrade to Office v. X and use it. I suppose MS doesn't mind if this
encourages more people to do just that.
