I've got an annoying bug that I discovered since I installed Jaguar OS X
10.2. My default email program of choice is Entourage. When I go to the
internet control panel to set Entourage as my default email program, after I
quit the System preferences program, mail.app 1.2 is saved as the default. I
have deleted the internet preferences files from the ~/library/preferences
folder and still the System preferences continues to write Mail.app 1.2 as
the default. What's interesting is that if I select Eudora as the default
mail program, the settings register this and Eudora is saved as the default.
So, where's the problem... Is it Entourage? I have deleted the entourage
preferences from the ~/library/preferences folder and it did not help. I'm
not sure what settings are saved there anyway, as all my settings for
entourage seemed unchanged. Does anyone else experience this problem with
entourage?

One note, too, when I installed entourage on my powerbook, I did a complete
clean install, where the hard drive is erased, and did a clean install of MS
Office X and the SR-1 update.

Thanks!

Photios Dumont
