All you should need to do is to put your Entourage user folder (at least)
into the Microsoft User Data folder (which should be in the Documents folder
on your boot drive on the G4). When you next launch Entourage, it will
hopefully use that folder. If it doesn't, change identities and select that
folder. (If you were using the default 'Main Identity', just replace the
existing folder by that name when you copy over the 'old' folder.)

That's not its name, its a description of what it does. In:
Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2001 Identities/
you will see one more folders with the name(s) of your Entourage Identity/ies. If you only have one and never renamed it, it's called "Main Identity". The simplest thing is just to bring over the whole Office 2001 Identities folder, or even easier, the whole Microsoft User Data folder to replace the one that got made in your Documents folder on the new computer. But if you have in the meantime accumulated new mail there which you want to keep, instead of that just bring over the "Main Identity" folder (or whatever you renamed it to), and rename it, or the one already in lace, so they can both live in the same Office 2001 Identities folder on the new computer.
When you next open Entourage, you will be in one identity or the other. You can switch identities via File/Switch identities. When you're in the new identity, drag either the mail folders containing mail you need, or the individual messages command-click to select the messages you want) to the desktop or a Finder folder. that will make .eml (message) or MBOX (folder) files. When you switch back to your "real" identity. drag those messages into the correct folder, or the MBOX files into Entourage. Now everything will be together. If and when you don't need the extra identity you can delete it in Switch identities,
