It's been a while since I have tried this, but as I recall, it works fine. The basic question, as I understand it, is:
Can I drag a message to the desktop in Entourage 2001, and then drag it into Entourage v X successfully? I believe the answer is yes, but I can't confirm immediately because I don't have Entourage 2001 on my current machine. I'll boot up Classic on my iBook and see if I can get it to work.
