Thanks for pointing me to this great resource. I changed the settings as you
can see below. Actually I now remember that I consciously deselected this
option because I don't like these bulky headers, since you get this
information in the header if you want it. Is there any other way other then
using scripts?

BTW: Diane might considder to change advice #8 an replace
"Use short header-style attribution lines" with
"Prefix my replies with short header-style attribution lines"
at least that is what it says on my preference panel. :-)

FWIW: The panel is misleading in giving the user the impression he can
choose the insertion point (including the signature: Why should the
signature be separate from my reply?) and the header style separately. With
my current understanding I would label this a bug and not a feature, but hey
I am not an expert.
